On March 11, 2025, Cubmaster Steve Dean received his Wood Badge at St. Luke’s UMC at the Pack 620 March Crossover. Mr. Dean was supported in the ceremony by his family, including his son Andrew who placed the tartan neckerchief around his neck, and his wife Lori, who helped place the slider and wooden beads. His daughters Ashlyn and Samantha, assisted throughout the process, holding items for the ceremony.
Cubmaster Dean attended Wood Badge, an advanced, national leadership course open only to Scouting volunteers and professionals. Leaders who complete this leadership course are awarded a tartan neckerchief and wooden beads made of acacia wood on a leather lace.
