DESCRIPTION:Come help honor our nation’s fallen veterans by placing flags near their headstones. This event happens rain or shine\, so please be prepared for the weather. The ground can get very wet and muddy\, so wear shoes that will be comfortable under those conditions. Scouts should wear their Cub Scout uniforms if possible. \nThings to bring: \n\na ruler: the flag needs to be placed 12 inches from the headstone\na screwdriver or stick to poke a hole in the ground (this helps the flag go in better)

DESCRIPTION:Bring your derby car to the pre-event weigh-in session! \nWe will be checking the weight of every derby car to ensure that no car exceeds the maximum weight of 5 ounces. Cars may not weigh over 5 ounces on the official scale. Once you have weighed in\, you will leave your car and it will be stored until race day. \nNote: You must bring your car to the weigh-in session to participate on Derby Day. Cars brought on the day of the Pinewood Derby (March 28th) will not be eligible to participate. \nFOR CARS NEEDING ADJUSTMENTS: We will have stations set up to help get your car to meet the weight limit. \n\nWhat if my car is over the weight limit? We will have drills available. Cars over the weight limit can have wood material drilled out of the bottom to reduce their weight.\nWhat if my car is under the weight limit? It is good to get your car as close to 4.9-5.0 ounces as possible. We will have small pieces of weights that can be added to cars to bring up their weight. We will also have glue. You might bring pennies or other small weights from home too just in case you need to add weight to your car.

DESCRIPTION:Start St. Patrick’s Day off with a morning hike  \nalong Clear Creek Trail in Golden\, CO!  \nPack members are invited to join Tiger Parent\, Captain Colton Francemone\, for a St. Patrick’s Day Clothing Drive Ruck March. The hike includes approx. a 2.0 mile hike along Clear Creek Trail followed by a walk to the Golden Pantry and Thrift and then back to the park (total distance approximately 2.75 miles). In addition to the hike\, we will be collecting canned goods and clothing items to donate to the Golden Pantry and Thrift. Suggested donations include clothing\, jackets\, gloves\, canned food\, and toiletries (please no baby clothes).

SUMMARY:Flag Service Project with Flags for Fallen Vets
DESCRIPTION:Black Feather District is doing a service project to honor our nation’s veterans!  \nCome help get flags ready for placement at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on Memorial Day. \nEach year\, Cub Scout Packs and Troops from around Black Feather District honor our nation’s veterans on Memorial Day by placing flags near the headstones of veterans at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Our Scouts and their families partner with the Flags of Fallen Vets organization. \nLast year\, Pack 620 participated in the Flags for Fallen Vets Memorial Day observation. Scouts and their families helped to place flags near the headstones of veterans at Ft. Logan. We will be doing this service project again this year. However\,  we also wanted to help the organization get ready for the event. To do this\, we are going to help inspect and bundle the flags so that they are ready for placement. Packs and Troops from around the Black Feather District will also be participating\, either at the Highlands Ranch library or at the Castle Rock Library. \nScouts are encouraged to wear their uniforms and families are encouraged to wear their Pack t-shirts if possible. This will be an event for the whole family.

We will be having an Italian potluck dinner. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArrow of Light Ceremony and Crossover to Scouts BSA \nThis ceremony will honor our AOL Scouts\, who will receive the Arrow of Light\, the highest rank in Cub Scouts. Earning this rank prepares a Scout to become a member of Scouts BSA and join a troop. \nOur Pack is proud to honor our five AOLs\, who have worked hard these past five years to earn the required advancements for each Cub Scout Rank. To celebrate our AOLs\, we will be having cake\, a special guest speaker\, and entertainment. \nDon’t miss out on our celebration of this year’s AOL den. It is a celebration of not only what has been achieved; it is a promise for the future. DESCRIPTION:Pack 620 has reserved Colorado Adventure Point on January 24\, 2026 so Scouts can earn special elective adventure loops in BB guns and archery. The schedule for the day is: \nArchery Special Adventure \nSessions: \n\n10:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Lions and Tigers\n12:30 PM – 2:30 PM – Wolves and Bears\n2:30 PM – 4:30 PM – Webelos and AOLs\n\nBB Guns Special Adventure \nSessions: \n\n10:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Wolves and Bears\n12:30 PM – 2:30 PM – Webelos and AOLs\n2:30 PM – 4:30 PM – Tigers\n\n  \nImportant Notes \n\nSpace is limited to 16 Scouts for each session.\nScouts can participate in more than one session to earn both their BB gun and archery loops.\nEach session’s content is specific based on the requirements for the den loop. Scouts should only sign up for their den’s session.\nLions cannot participate in the BB guns adventure.\n\nCosts\nThe cost for each session is $10.00. There are no taxes. Payment for the session can be made with cash\, check\, or Venmo to Pack 620. You must pay for the session in order to confirm your reservation by January 7\, 2026. An email will be sent out regarding payment once your sign-up is completed. \n  \nSign-up for CAP Special Adventure Sessions! \n  \nChanging/Canceling sign-up \n\nSession changes can be made up until January 24th\, provided there is space available in the session. Otherwise\, your Scout will be added to the waitlist for that session.\nCancellations made prior to January 7\, 2026 are eligible for a refund. After January 7th\, you may cancel your session but you will not receive a refund.

DESCRIPTION:Pack 620 will be camping indoors at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs on Saturday\, January 10\, 2026. Scouts and their families should arrive at the zoo by 7:00 PM to put their sleeping bags and other stuff away. \nThe program will include: \n\n7:00 – 8:00 PM: Pizza and S’mores\n8:00 PM: Guided evening tour of the zoo starts.\nTour includes giraffe feeding and up close encounter with animals in The Loft.\nWatch a movie until lights out.\nSunday morning: Light breakfast\nSunday morning\, 9:00 AM: Program concludes.\n\n  \nAdmission to the zoo on Sunday is included. People can put their stuff in the car and return to see the zoo after the program has concluded. \nSign-up for Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Campout! \n  \nCosts \nNormal costs for the campout are noted below. \n\nChildren (Scouts and siblings): $80.75\nAdults: $50.75\n\n  \nThe Pack intends to help Scouts and their families defray the campout costs with commission money earned from the popcorn sales. The exact discount will be determined once popcorn sales conclude at the end of November. An email will go out at the beginning of December with this information. \nPlease go ahead and reserve your family’s spot so we can get a preliminary count of how many people will be going on the campout.

DESCRIPTION:November’s meeting is Bingo Night\, where Scouts and their families have an opportunity to play Bingo and raise money to support a Pack service project. We welcome your family\, grandparents\, cousins\, neighbors\, and anyone you want to invite to play bingo for a great cause. The Arrow of Light Den will use the funds collected from Bingo Night for a charity of their choice. \nBingo details: \n\nBingo cards will be 1 card for $4 or 3 cards for $10 if you pay cash. We encourage everyone to bring small bills to make purchasing cards easy.\nWe will also have Venmo available if you wish to purchase bingo cards using Venmo. Please note that the Pack has to pay fees for its Venmo business account and so the cost for Bingo cards will different if you use Venmo. Cards will 1 card for $4.20 or 3 cards for $10.20.\nTwo options for bingo pieces this year!\n\nUse spare change: Bring all your spare change to the event to use as bingo pieces!\nBuy a roll of coins: The pack will have rolls of coins for purchase as bingo pieces.\nAll change will also be collected at the end of the night to help the AOL service project.\n\n\nThere will be prizes for bingo winners. We will have a variety of prizes but you may only win one time per round.
