Our Scouts had a blast at the annual Pack campout in September (16-17), held this year at Camp Cris Dobbins at McNeil Scout Ranch. Our Scouts participated in a variety of activities including an obstacle course, rock toss, gaga ball, BB guns and more. We ended the day with a chuck wagon dinner and campfire program.

Pack 620 set a goal this year of selling $7,000 in popcorn sales, a 40 percent increase over what we sold last year. Thanks to all the hard work of our Scouts who manned the tables at the King Soopers and Cabelas stores on the weekends and also sold online and door to door in their neighborhoods, we sold a total of $8,133! In addition, the Scouts raised $709 in donations. These funds will be used to purchase popcorn that will be donated to military groups and/or first responders. That brings the Pack’s total popcorn online, storefront, wagon, and donation sales to $8,842 for this year. Based on the Pack’s 35 percent commission, this year the Pack will receive a total of $3,094 from the sale of popcorn, which we will use to help offset the cost of BSA and Pack dues and other scouting activities. Thank you to families that signed up for Storefront Sales – 5 storefront dates brought in $5,634. Thank you to the families that jumped in and helped with wagon sales which helped close out our campaign! We had 7 Scouts earn Amazon gift cards. Lori Dean, our Popcorn Kernel, will release the cards once we close everything out with the Council.

Pack 620 collected food for St. Luke’s United Methodist Church’s food drive (Feeding of the Five Thousand) on Sunday, October 8, 2023. St. Luke’s provides their facility for our den and pack meetings and we are very grateful for their support of our Pack. Thank you to all the Scouts and families who donated food and helped with delivery to the church.
